The Border Hike...

The event is held at the Gradbach Camp Site, situated in the beautiful Peak District hills, seven miles from Buxton, Derbyshire.

In 2002, because of the changes to the structure of the Scout association, the format of the Border Hike was changed and a second event, The 'John Bradbury Trophy', for Explorer age scouts, was added. The competition for Scout section entrants continues to be known as the 'Scout Border Hike'.

The event is also now open to Guides and Rangers, and other qualifying groups within the same age range as Scouts and Explorers.

Why not bring the troop for a memorable weekend, and enter a team (or even a number of teams) in the hike?

You'll be joining in an established Scouting tradition and one of the best events available to modern Explorers and Scouts, with like minded groups from all over the UK.

The Border Hike regulations must be considered prior to booking.

Please follow the links on the left to learn all you need to know about the event. If you still have unanswered questions, please contact us at your convenience.
